At Yarmouth Bar, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to responsible fishing practices, preserving marine ecosystems, and supporting the long-term health of our local communities. Through careful stewardship and a commitment to traditional knowledge, we ensure that our products are not only of the highest quality but also contribute to a sustainable future.

We’re on track to reach our goal of being the first seafood processor to be 100% self-sufficient which means we won’t have a power bill by 2025. We’ve invested 1.5 million in solar panels and our new, state of the art refrigeration system saves energy and water while keeping our product safe. These extensive upgrades will ensure we reach our goal and will set us up for years to come.

We are also working toward making four of our vessels true hybrids which will reduce fuel cost by 50%, and reduce our emissions significantly. At Yarmouth Bar, we know an investment in sustainability is an investment in our children, and their children, and on and on it goes…
